The set up is pretty simple once you have Google Analytics installed as we did in the previous tutorial.

  1. First open https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome Enter your 'site URL' and click 'continue'.

  2. When setting up you need to verify you own the website. It will be automatically verified if you have the Google Analytics account. Now, Click 'GO TO PROPERTY'.

  4. Now that you are all set up we just need to make sure Google knows about your website (in SEO jargon we need to know if it is "indexed"). In Google search "site:yourdomainname.com".
